TERMS:
Notice is hereby given that Auction Liquidation Services by authorization of the Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders will sell at public auction on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. to the highest bidder; vehicles, machinery and equipment declared as surplus property by the County of Mercer. Registration will be held on October 6, 2007 from 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at the Public Works Facility.
Mercer County reserves the right to reject bids in accordance with the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11 et. Seq.. VEHICLES, MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT PURCHASED SHALL BE REMOVED FROM COUNTY PROPERTY BY TUESDAY, OCTOBER 9TH, 2007 OR A $25.00 FEE SHALL BE ASSESSED FOR EACH DAY BEYOND THE REMOVAL DATE. ALL VEHICLES, MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT WILL BE SOLD AS IS FROM THE PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY AND SHALL BE REMOVED BY THE PURCHASER. ALL DISMANTLING AND TRANSPORTATION COSTS ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PURCHASER.
All bidders are invited to inspect vehicles, machinery and equipment at the Mercer County Public Works Facility on Scotch Road (near Interstate 95), West Trenton, New Jersey, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. on the date of the Auction, October 6th, 2007. The titled mileage may not reflect the actual mileage. Under no circumstances will a refund or adjustment be made because of items not meeting the standards expected, nor will failure to inspect be considered grounds for a claim. Anyone tampering with or removing any part or accessory, or making any adjustments as to render the units in an inoperative state that are up for sale, will be removed from the bidders list and will be liable to prosecution. The bidder and/or purchaser either as principal or agent or employee, entering the premises or property of the County of Mercer in order to inspect or remove property hereunder, hereby covenants and agrees to take, use, provide and make all proper, necessary and sufficient precautions, safeguards and protection against the occurrence of happenings of any accidents, injuries, damages or hurt to any person or property during the progress of the transactions herein covered and to be responsible for and to indemnify and hold harmless the County of Mercer from the payment of all sums of money by reason of all, or any accident, injuries, damages or hurt that may happen or occur upon, or about such work and all fines, penalties and loss incurred for or by reason of the violation of any City or Borough ordinance, regulation or law or the State or the United States while said work is in progress.
All questions shall be directed to Auction Liquidation Services by telephone at 800-563-9740. All bidders must be eighteen (18) years of age or older. CHILDREN WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ON THE GROUNDS OF THE PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY.
ALL BIDDERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY IN FULL BY CASH, CERTIFIED OR COMPANY CHECK ON THE DATE OF THE AUCTION.
